Welcome our 2026 SCEAFCS President

Elizabeth Parker Josey

Elizabeth is a Rural Health and Nutrition Agent for the Clemson University Cooperative Extension in Lancaster County. She works in collaboration with other Rural Health and Nutrition agents across the state to offer free education classes, including "Know Diabetes By Heart" and "Health Extension for Diabetes." Elizabeth also serves as the local program coordinator for the MUSC Boeing Center for Children's Wellness School-Based Wellness Initiative.

Letter from the President

 The President of the South Carolina Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (SCEAFCS) serves as the chief elected leader of the organization. The President provides overall leadership, guides the association’s goals and initiatives, and presides over executive board and membership meetings. As the official representative of SCEAFCS, the President supports professional development, promotes family and consumer sciences across the state, and works collaboratively with board members and committees to advance the mission of the organization.

Committed to reducing health disparities and improving health outcomes in vulnerable communities through community outreach, education, and evidence-based programming. Dedicated advocate for public health and wellness with a strong passion for empowering individuals and communities to make informed health decisions.

Jevencia Hill

A proud native of Hampton County, she brings over a decade of experience in Human Services and Public Health to her work. She currently serves as the Rural Health Extension Agent for Richland County, Lexington County, and Kershaw County.


Through community partnerships with child advocacy groups, state and local organizations, and mentorship programs, she works to strengthen essential life skills, promote holistic health, and support individuals and families with limited resources. Passionate about building meaningful relationships, she is committed to fostering collaborative wellness initiatives throughout the communities she serves.

Yaniqua D. Eyabi

SCSU | EFNEP Assistant Coordinator

 

Yaniqua currently serves as an Extension Agent for Family Nutrition and Health with South Carolina State University 1890 Research and Extension. She coordinates nutrition education programs under the Family Nutrition and Health initiative, ensuring all activities align with departmental objectives and USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (USDA-NIFA) guidelines. 


She is passionate about equipping adults and students with the skills needed to become responsible, well-informed community members. She has been with SC State 1890 Research and Extension for over 10 years and received the USDA Certificate of Appreciation 5-Year Award for her service to EFNEP in 2019. Eyabi earned both her Bachelor of Professional Studies (2021) and Master of Professional Studies (2022) in Organizational Leadership from Anderson University.

Myia Galloway

A Myrtle Beach, South Carolina native who returned to the Palmetto State with her family to serve communities through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) with Clemson University. With more than 14 years of experience in nutrition and fitness, she is passionate about helping youth and adults build healthier lifestyles through nutrition education, community gardening, and physical activity. She earned her Associate in Science degree from Piedmont Technical College and is pursuing a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition at Clemson.

Weatherly Thomas

Weatherly Thomas is an Extension Associate with the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Rural Health and Nutrition Program, based at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence, South Carolina. Her work focuses on improving food access, food security, and local food systems in rural communities across the state. She holds a Master of Agricultural Education from Clemson University and brings a multidisciplinary background that supports community-based health and nutrition initiatives.

Camilla Herndon is a Rural Health and Nutrition Agent with Clemson Cooperative Extension in Greenville County. Camilla graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s and master’s degree. She previously worked in the violence prevention field for 5 years. Camilla currently works in the Extension Office to plan, implement, and evaluate health education programs for the county and state.
