2025 Annual Session Recap

 This event brought together Family & Consumer Sciences professionals statewide for a day of connection, learning, and celebration. The event included service activities, association updates, program highlights, and a movement break, culminating in an inspiring keynote on the “Food is Medicine” approach with Zack King. The day concluded with awards, elections, and networking opportunities that reinforced our mission to empower professionals and strengthen communities across South Carolina.

 The SCEAFCS Annual Session brought together Family & Consumer Sciences professionals from across South Carolina for a day of connection, leadership, and learning.


Hosted in partnership with the National Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) South Carolina and South Carolina State University Cooperative Extension, the conference featured association updates, program highlights, and meaningful opportunities to engage.


The day opened with registration and service project contributions, followed by welcome remarks and association business, including bylaws updates, president-elect nominations, and membership announcements. Attendees participated in a mindfulness movement break and lightning talks highlighting impactful work from program teams across the state.


The afternoon keynote, “Food is Medicine,” was presented by Zack King, offering insight into the powerful connection between nutrition and overall well-being. The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding members, election results, and a celebratory raffle.


From professional development to peer recognition, the conference showcased the strength, leadership, and innovation of South Carolina’s FCS professionals.
