South Carolina Cooperative Extension
The South Carolina Cooperative Extension Service is a partnership between Clemson University and South Carolina State University (SCSU), serving all 46 counties in the state. Extension connects university-based research with individuals, families, businesses, and communities, providing practical, research-based education that helps improve lives and strengthen communities.
- Clemson Cooperative Extension leads statewide Extension programming in agriculture, natural resources, 4-H youth development, food safety, nutrition, and community development.
- South Carolina State University 1890 Cooperative Extension focuses on serving limited-resource families and communities through programs in family life, nutrition, youth development, sustainable agriculture, and community economic development.
Together, Clemson and SCSU Cooperative Extension deliver research-backed education and outreach to meet the needs of South Carolina’s diverse population—helping families, farmers, businesses, and communities thrive.
